Brief

Samsung was building it’s first retail store in Hong Kong that would showcase their wide range of products. As this was their first retail space the client was particularly concerned with the design and flow of the store.

Challenge

Samsung creates a wide variety of products, each requiring a unique display to showcase their best attributes. Television sets would require a dark area to best display their colors and brightness, while air-conditioners needed a completely different setup. The flow of how consumers would navigate through the vast floorspace to find the products they were looking for quickly also needed a unique design solution.

Solution

The retail space was divided up into a “shop within a shop” concept. Products were organized by price and usage to best enable the consumers to find what they wanted with minimal fuss. This setup also allowed for cross-selling of products with the intention of increasing Samsung’s overall sales. Unique design solutions were found for each area of the store to differentiate the product zones.
