Brief

The client wanted an interior design that took full advantage of the large, naturally lit views, with minimal renovation work.

Challenge

Minimal renovation, and a awkward floor plan with very few walls at right angles made the design process difficult.

Solution

Existing built-in furnishing was recycled as much as possible, with only new doors or exteriors added to give the apartment a cohesive look. An innovative use of sliding panels and wheeled cabinets made effective use of space. Cream colored walls and white furniture opened up the rooms and placed full emphasis on the unobstructed views of the ocean. Heavy wooden elements in the living and dining rooms contrasted against the glossy white shelves and stone flooring in the bathroom and kitchen to create a contemporary mix of minimalist ideals and Chinese flair.
